I used the 305 edge and liked it very much, so I had good reason to believe that I would like the 705 as well. I am not disappointed. I like the idea that it can be set for auto/motorcycle, bicycle, and pedestrian modes. I have used it in all three. I begin or end many of my rides in darkness, and I really like the idea that I can touch a toggle and get backlight. I plan to get a power meter later this year, and I am looking forward to the superiority of this interface with the power meter which is much better than the one that is available through the company that produces the power meter that I like.
